Positions
JCS offers competitive pay, an excellent benefits package including: health and dental insurance, 401k, paid vacation and holidays, and per diem.
All applicants must pass a drug screening, and have a clean driving record for the last 3 years to be eligible for employment. We will run a background check before hiring.
Experience is valued, but not necessary as we train on the job for all available positions.
Wiring Technicians
- Install Cat5, Coaxial, and low voltage power wires for Fiber to the Home/Business customers.
- PLT license is a plus.
Fiber Splicers
- Perform cable preparation and fusion splicing of fibers.
- Complete OTDR, and end-to-end testing on new and existing fiber networks.
- May be required to obtain a DOT health card which is paid for by the company.
Operators/Laborers
- Run equipment: drop plows, directional drills, mini-excavator and other small equipment (yard tractor, bobcat, etc.).
- Assist drop crew operators by exposing existing utilities
- Perform grounding work for the ONT at the home
- Must be able to obtain a DOT health card and a class A CDL would be a plus.
Job Requirements
Equipment Operators:
Requirements, inspect equipment, grease, oil and perform daily maintenance on equipment, report any needed equipment repairs, wash and clean equipment as needed, ability to dig around existing utilities, operate equipment efficiently and effectively, must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, willing to teach others how to operate various pieces of equipment, create a safe work environment by being aware of surroundings and taking safety seriously, assist crew when needed (this may mean hand digging or other laboring duties), communicate with Foreman and Superintendent, experience is preferred, must be able to work independently, Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record REQUIRED (within the last 3 years); Class A CDL is desirable, MUST pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT health exam.
Construction Laborer:
No Experience or Education is required. This job requires hand digging, being around equipment, taking direction, and being able to learn new skills. Advancement opportunities are available. Most work is within 2-3 hours of the Bemidji area. Must be able to work overtime, if needed. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and be insurable by our company to drive.
